Effective date: October 9, 2026
These terms apply to any SAT Math Master Cohort advertised as including the Penguin Test Prep Score Guarantee at the time of purchase.
The “Target SAT” is the specific official SAT administration for which the student’s cohort is designed to prepare them.
The applicable Target SAT date will be identified on the cohort enrollment page and in the student’s enrollment confirmation. The guarantee applies only to that administration unless Penguin Test Prep approves a different test date in writing.
The “Starting Score” is the student’s most recent official SAT Math score from an SAT administered before the first class of the cohort.
To qualify for the Score Guarantee, the student must have a verified Starting Score of 600 or higher.
If that score has not yet been released when the cohort begins, it may still serve as the Starting Score once it becomes available.
A different official SAT Math score may be used only if Penguin Test Prep approves it in writing.
The student’s “Guaranteed Target” is the lower of:
Because the guarantee requires a Starting Score of at least 600, every eligible student's Guaranteed Target is 700 on the SAT Math section.
For example:
Students with Starting Scores below 600 may enroll in the SAT Math Master Cohort but are not eligible for the Score Guarantee.
Students whose Starting Scores are already 700 or higher remain fully eligible for the guarantee. If their Target SAT Math score falls below 700, they may claim the guarantee provided they satisfy all other eligibility requirements.
Score 700 or higher on the SAT Math section, or get 100% of your cohort tuition back PLUS free access to Penguin Test Prep Academy until you reach your Guaranteed Target.
Students who satisfy every eligibility requirement below are guaranteed to reach their Guaranteed Target on the cohort’s Target SAT.
If an eligible student does not reach their Guaranteed Target, Penguin Test Prep will:
Both benefits are provided together. Complimentary Academy access is not a substitute for the refund.
To qualify for the guarantee, the student must satisfy all of the following requirements.
The student must attend every required live cohort class.
A grace period of up to 10 minutes of missed instructional time is permitted per class, whether due to arriving late, leaving early, or a combination of both.
Missing more than 10 minutes of a class will make the student ineligible for the guarantee unless Penguin Test Prep approves an exception in writing.
Watching a recording or completing a makeup assignment does not replace live attendance for purposes of the guarantee. Brief breaks authorized by the instructor will not affect eligibility.
The student must attend every required live office-hour session included with their cohort.
A grace period of up to 10 minutes of missed instructional time is permitted per office-hour session, whether due to arriving late, leaving early, or a combination of both.
Missing more than 10 minutes of a required office-hour session will make the student ineligible for the guarantee unless Penguin Test Prep approves an exception in writing.
Watching a recording or attending an alternative session does not satisfy this requirement unless Penguin Test Prep approves the alternative in writing.
The student must complete and submit all required homework by the deadlines provided by Penguin Test Prep.
Incomplete, missing, or late homework will make the student ineligible unless Penguin Test Prep approved an extension in writing before the original deadline.
The student must have a verified official SAT Math Starting Score of at least 600.
The student or parent must provide an unaltered official College Board score report showing the student’s name, test date, and Math score.
If the Starting Score is already available when the cohort begins, it must be submitted no later than the first live class. If the score is still pending, it must be submitted within seven calendar days after College Board releases it.
Practice-test, PSAT, superscore, estimated, and self-reported scores will not be accepted as the Starting Score.
After verifying the Starting Score, Penguin Test Prep will confirm the student’s eligibility and Guaranteed Target.
The student must sit for the cohort’s designated Target SAT and receive a valid, reportable Math score.
Students testing through a College Board-approved accommodated schedule remain eligible, provided their test is part of the designated Target SAT administration.
The student or parent must provide an unaltered official College Board score report showing the student’s name, test date, and Math score.
The report must be submitted within 14 calendar days after College Board releases scores for the Target SAT.
Penguin Test Prep may request additional reasonable verification if a score report is incomplete, altered, or unclear. Students and parents should never provide their College Board password.
To request the guarantee, the student’s parent or legal guardian must email info@penguintestprep.com with:
The request must be received within 14 calendar days after College Board releases scores for the Target SAT.
Penguin Test Prep will review the student’s attendance, office-hour attendance, homework completion, Starting Score eligibility, and score documentation before approving the request.
Once an eligible request is approved:
Bank and payment-processor timelines may affect when the refund appears in the purchaser’s account.
The refund applies only to tuition paid for the applicable SAT Math Master Cohort. It does not include workshop fees, SAT registration fees, private tutoring, third-party expenses, or other Penguin Test Prep products.
Academy access is personal to the eligible student and may not be transferred, shared, exchanged for cash, or substituted for another service.
A student will not qualify for the guarantee if the student:
If College Board or the student’s testing center cancels the Target SAT, or if College Board cannot provide a valid score for reasons outside the student’s control, the guarantee will apply to the next available official SAT administration.
A student who voluntarily misses the Target SAT, arrives too late to test, fails to follow College Board requirements, voluntarily changes test dates, or has a score canceled because of their own conduct will not automatically qualify for this extension.
Any exception or change to the designated Target SAT must be approved by Penguin Test Prep in writing.
This guarantee applies only to the individual student identified during enrollment and may not be transferred.
The guarantee concerns only the student’s SAT Math section score. It does not guarantee a particular Reading and Writing score, total SAT score, college admission result, scholarship, or other academic outcome.
The guarantee terms in effect when the student enrolls will govern that student’s purchase. Penguin Test Prep may modify the guarantee offered for future cohorts but will not retroactively change the terms applicable to an existing enrollment.
Enrollment constitutes acknowledgment of these guarantee terms by the purchaser. If the student is under 18, the student’s parent or legal guardian must accept the terms on the student’s behalf.
